September 1967 bis zum 29. März 1978 auf CBS mit 278 Folgen und stammte aus dem Studio 33 von CBS Television City. Die Serie gewann 25 Emmy Awards zur Hauptsendezeit, landete 2002 auf Platz 16 der 50 besten TV-Shows aller Zeiten von TV Guide und wurde 2007 vom Time Magazine in die Liste der „100 besten TV-Shows“ aufgenommen aller Zeiten.“
