Synopsis
Once upon a time, in a quiet village, lived a kind girl named Grace Cooper. She had a small birthmark on her face—and because of it, an ancient prophecy said she was meant to be the empress. When a beautiful portrait of her reached the palace, Emperor Samuel Ellsworth chose her as his destined bride. But when Grace arrived at the grand palace, the emperor didn’t believe she was the girl from the painting. He accused her of tricking him! Still, to keep a pushy noble from forcing a marriage on him, Samuel asked Grace to pretend to be his girlfriend—just for show. At first, they didn’t like each other much.
