Phil Spencer heads to Tyne Valley, near Newcastle, to help Kerry Ellis and Michael Byrne, who have a budget of £150,000 to spend on their first home, but are finding house-hunting difficult as Kerry works in Manchester. Also in the area, Kirstie Allsopp searches for a rural home with a garden suitable for David and Kate Whitehead, who are expecting their second child
