His youngest son, August, who is a popular priest in Copenhagen, has long dreamed of being outposted, and it's suddenly becoming a reality for his wife Emilie's concern. Storebroren, Christian, who previously ran from the theology study to his father's great regret, now seems to have finally found his way in life as he handles his thesis on CBS. But it turns out he likes something hidden.

Overview
The story centers on a family of priests: Johannes, Elisabeth and their sons August and Christian. Johannes is God-like to his sons - he gives, loves, and punishes.
