Synopsis
Yataro Tanigawa, un tueur à gages borgne, impressionne le chef yakuza Gomyo Kiyoemon par son talent. Gomyo engage Tanigawa comme garde du corps, ou yojimbo, pour le protéger lors d'un conflit interclanique. Tanigawa grandit rapidement dans le clan, mais trouve les ennemis de son patron presque écrasants.
